Part of a major national TV campaign, RNIB’s ‘See Differently, See The Person’ film tells the story of Ava, a fictional teenage girl who must come to terms with gradually losing her sight. Played by an actor who lost their right eye at a young age due to retinoblastoma, Ava’s story is inspired by the real life sight-loss journey of many, capturing an authentic experience of diagnosis, which often mirrors the five stages of grief - denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance.
