Stuart Langfield and You Are Here make a plea on behalf of the future voter.
We’re repulsed by the idea of child neglect. For most of us it’s an incredibly triggering subject, but our inaction over climate change is putting future generations in peril.
The film uses a powerful visual metaphor to get its point across. A young baby is left alone as a bath is left to run unchecked. Finally it spills over, and the baby is powerless to do anything as the water encircles her.
Part of the team's goal was to use their talents as creatives & filmmakers to make a thought-provoking contribution to the climate conversation. Especially at a time where the climate crisis seems to have taken a depressing back seat to the short-term, self-serving rhetoric of political point-scoring.
The result is this nerve-touching 90 sec. film. A reminder of our longer-term duties to humanity, and the power we have as voters.
