Off-kilter humour from the outset in this strange and witty short from Jeroen Houben. Beautifully art directed with echoes of Wes Anderson, the film follows an isolated hotel inspector as he makes an unlikely friend. The film premiered at the Golden Calf competition of the Dutch Film Festival in 2015 and was later released online, featuring on Nowness, Short Of The Week and Vimeo Narratives. Jeroen’s first feature ‘Your Mother Should Know’ was subsequently released in 2018 to critical acclaim.
