Cinema is in Aisha’s blood. She grew up on film sets watching her cinematographer father and director grandfather and was instantly hooked. No surprise that she soon immersed herself on screen as an actor. An invaluable experience when it came to transferring her skills to directing her own films.

Her shorts are acclaimed for their beautifully-judged performances and storytelling. Sparse and cinematic and full of nuance, films like Rhinestone Blue and The Call echo the understated, stylised tension of David Lynch and Sophia Coppola. They have been awarded at several festivals including Best Short Drama at LA’s Valley Film Festival. Her latest short Sticky was recently featured in the Shiny Awards. Based in both London and LA, Aisha is now looking forward to bringing her unique cinematic eye to UK commercials.
