Aisha is a writer and director living in LA. Her films - often featuring strong female characters, subtle humour and cinematically-crafted locations - have been shown in numerous festivals. Among the growing accolades has been Best Short Drama at the Valley Film Festival, as well as a Telly Award and a Cannes Corporate Media & TV Award for her short ‘RHINESTONE BLUE’. Her short featuring Juno Temple, ‘THE CALL’, also collected Best Short at the Cinelounge Film Festival in 2021. And her latest film ’STICKY’ has been selected for The Shiny Awards. Aisha’s rapid rise has also been catching the attention of agencies, with Goodby Silverstein selecting her to be part of their inaugural directing fellowship ‘Residence’. Hardly surprising for someone whose father and grandfather were award-winning filmmakers too.
